Adult and Youth Sports
The Athletic Department provides sports and athletic opportunities to youth and adults through competitive leagues, tournaments and sports instruction, which includes coaching, classes and clinics.
Youth:
RCRC offers instructional and recreational youth athletic programs beginning at age 3. In addition to living an active lifestyle, these programs give children an opportunity to learn lessons that can last a lifetime. The importance of teamwork, celebrating others, friendship and the value of practice are all lessons that can be found within each program the children participate in.
Adult:
If you work hard, you can play hard too! Just because you are an adult doesn’t mean you can’t have fun while being active and healthy. Kickball, softball and basketball leagues are available to adults who want to rewind the clock and stay fit. Being physically fit also increases your self-confidence, body image, energy level and helps to reduce stress.
Tennis:
Enjoy quality facilities, lighted courts and friendly, professional service year-round at both of our twelve court tennis centers. Our tennis professionals offer clinics, league and tournament play for all ages. They will also help participants to appreciate the healthy benefits of playing tennis along with instruction on how to play safely. Playing tennis on a regular basis can help maintain or improve balance, mobility, agility, strength and fitness. Individual and group lessons are also available.
Golf:
Combine championship quality, beauty, and affordability and you get LinRick Golf Course – 257 acres of picturesque terrain, eight ponds, and rolling hills. This Russell Breeden design provides a challenging game at 6,795 yards, par 73, 18-hole course and is excellent for players of all ages and abilities. Enjoy friendly, professional service from our PGA staff who are on hand to assist you in the pro shop.
Most of our youth sports leagues and events are always looking for local business sponsorships. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor please call Lisa W. Lewis-Hutcherson, Development Director (803) 741-7272 ext. 157 for more information.
