10-Year Master Plan
I am excited to officially announce the kickoff of the Richland County Recreation Commission’s Ten-Year Master Plan, a major milestone and an exciting moment for our agency and the communities we proudly serve.
A Ten-Year Master Plan is more than a document; it is a shared vision for the future. It serves as our roadmap for guiding decisions related to parks, facilities, programs, services, and investments over the next decade. Most importantly, it ensures that RCRC continues to grow intentionally, equitably, and in alignment with the needs and aspirations of our residents and staff.
This planning process is built on collaboration. Community and staff input are essential to shaping a Master Plan that reflects who we are today and where we want to go tomorrow. Your experiences, ideas, and feedback will directly influence priorities, improvements, and long-term strategies for RCRC.

These meetings are open, welcoming spaces to talk about what is working well, what could be improved, and what you would like to see from RCRC over the next ten years. I encourage all staff to attend and to help spread the word throughout your communities.
In addition to the meetings, we have launched a Public Survey, which will be available on all of RCRC social media platforms and on our website for community members to complete at their convenience:

Help spread the word about the upcoming community meetings, encourage our fellow residence to attend, and promote completion of the public survey. Our communities make a real difference, and your help is vital to ensuring we receive input for our master plan. This is a truly exciting time for RCRC. Together, we are planning a future that strengthens our parks, elevates our programs, and continues to enhance the quality of life for Richland County residence.
