Description or Activities:
Kids will have great adventures with the Richland County Recreation Commission’s Summer Adventures Camps!  Our programs offer so many great activities, field trips and educational experiences.  We’ll have hands on math and science instruction with Operation B.L.A.S.T., hot and healthy lunches for each site sponsored by The School of Hope Christian Academy, technology education with Tiny Techz and health and fitness activities with S.W.I.S.H.

The Richland County Sheriff’s Department will take on the Columbia Fire Department, in a battle of wits on the court for a wheelchair basketball exhibition game. Come out and support your local team and our Youth Wheelchair Basketball Development League.

 The abandoned Crane Creek Elementary school stood vacant for many years and fell into disrepair.  The Recreation Commission purchased the building from the school district and converted it into a much needed community center.  The community center now has a gymnasium so that they can host athletic events like youth basketball, volleyball and exercise classes like Zumba and aerobics. 

 The Crane Creek Community Center is open Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.  The gym will be open Monday-Friday, 2:00-9:00 p.m.; Saturday, 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.; Sunday, 1:00-6:00 p.m.
