Hopkins Park

Have fun at Hopkins Park!  There is always something fun going on at this community park.  From summer camps, swimming pools, softball, baseball and football games, kids and families are always enjoying the recreation center.  Parents and grandparents can also enjoy the near by Hopkins Adult Activity Center.  Hopkins Park is also the home of the Lower Richland Sweet Potato Festival, held in April.

Activities

Adult Softball League

Register by August 19.

We have lots of great softball leagues for adults.  This is a fun way to get your co-workers, church group or just a group of friends together.  Get a great workout while playing a fun game.  We offer league play every night of the week at different locations.  We need at least six team to get the league started.  If you do not have a team but want to play, Call Kendrick Roach and we’ll get you in contact with a team.  Register today!

Regular season is 8 weeks with a single elimination tournament at the end.

Shinkickers Soccer League

Register by August 19.

Welcome to our awesome introductory soccer league for boys and girls, ages 3-6.  Kids will have fun learning the basics of the game, learning to play with others and how to work as a team.  Volunteer coaches are always needed and appreciated!  Register your child today!

National HIV/AIDS Testing Day

June 27 is National HIV/AIDS Testing Day and we want to encourage everyone to know their status.  Join Hopkins Park and the SC HIV/AIDS council for a gathering at the park.

3-on-3 Basketball Tournament

So you think your squad has game? Get your squad together and show us what you’ve got on the court.  You and your friends will have a great time winning the trophy!

Women’s Self-Defense Class

We continue our partnership with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department to offer women-only self-defense classes.  This free class will teach real-life scenarios where women can easily defend themselves.  It’s a great class for friends or family members to take together.
